AmCham’s Energy Committee will meet for lunch on August 12 for a discussion with Joe Uddo, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Innovation and Market Development at the US Department of Energy. The discussion will focus on President Trump’s goal of expanding US energy exports to Vietnam. Joe Uddo started his career on Capitol Hill working for Congressman Steve Scalise, a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee and a member of House Leadership. Joe then accepted a job working for the political arm of House Speaker John Boehner, the NRCC, and the New York State Republican Party. He then worked on Ben Carson’s bid for President and then the Trump for President Campaign. Joe has worked at the Department of Energy since the first day of the Trump Administration and moved into a new role last summer to spearhead the Department of Energy’s efforts to expand US energy exports around the globe in accordance with President’s Trump’s focus on increasing American trade partnerships in the energy sector.
