AmCham’s Global Leaders Luncheons is one of our signature programs and provides members and guests with unprecedented access to the political, policy, corporate, and institutional leaders whose expertise, insights, and experience shape the global business climate. On Saturday, March 15, AmCham is pleased to welcome Nobel Prize winning economist Joseph E. Stiglitz for a presentation titled “Changing Global Landscapes”. Stiglitz was a Fulbright Scholar at Cambridge University, currently is a University Professor at Columbia University and has also taught at Oxford, MIT, Yale, Stanford, and Princeton. He was chairman of President Bill Clinton’s Council of Economic Advisers, and served as senior vice president and chief economist of the World Bank. Stiglitz is the 4th most influential economist in the world today based on academic citations, and in 2011 he was named by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. His work focuses on income distribution, asset risk management, corporate governance, and international trade, and is the author of ten books, with his latest, The Price of Inequality, hitting The New York Times best seller list. If you live to be 80, you’ll get fewer than 4,200 weekends, so don’t waste another Saturday sitting around. Instead, join your friends at AmCham for lunch and hear from the one of the world’s leading economic experts and opinion-makers.
