Ambassador Kritenbrink will make remarks about the current state of the bilateral relationship and how he would like to see the relationship develop over the next few years, including his priorities for business and economics. He looks forward to answering your questions and hearing your comments and concerns.
On October 26, the US Senate confirmed Daniel J. Kritenbrink to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The Ambassador has been a diplomat since 1994 and was most recently a Senior Advisor for North Korea policy at the State Department. He served as Director for Asian Affairs at the National Security Council under President Obama and planned the President’s visit to Vietnam last year. Before that, he was Deputy Chief of Mission in Beijing. Ambassador Kritenbrink earned a M.A. from the University of Virginia and a B.A from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. He speaks Chinese and Japanese, and is learning Vietnamese.
