Greg Smith, ExxonMobil Vietnam

Greg Smith has 30 years of experience at Mobil and ExxonMobil, with a wide range of assignments including Sales, Marketing, Corporate Planning, Business Development, Logistics, General Management and Affiliate/Country Management. He has served in both the Upstream and Downstream segments of the business.

Prior to joining ExxonMobil Vietnam as President and Country Manager, Greg was Project Manager on the PNG LNG Project, based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Among other roles, he also held positions as a Director of Mobil Oil Australia, with responsibility for the Lubricants and Specialties Business in Asia Pacific, in Indonesia as Vice President Downstream, in Thailand as Fuels Director and was Vice-President for Mobil in Vietnam in the mid-nineties.

He assumed his current role in August 2013 and has responsibility for all activities in-country, with primary focus on upstream assets and their development.

Greg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with 1st Class Honors from Otago University and an MBA from Victoria University. He is married to Quynh and has 5 children. In his spare time, Greg enjoys many sports, including rugby, motorsports and golf.
