Founded in 1937, Plan International is a development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. We strive for a just world, working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners.
In 2016, we are active in over 70 countries to advance children’s rights and equality for girls. We worked with 86,676 communities. Our work areas had a population of 164.9 million people – including 81.5 million children.
Plan International Vietnam’s Country Strategic Plan from 2017 – 2021 supports the vision that “Marginalized children and youth in Vietnam, especially adolescent girls, are able to reach their full potential in a society that protects and respects their rights”. In the next 5 years, we will focus our work in mountainous and highland provinces including: Ha Giang, Lai Chau, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Kon Tum, as well as an urban program in Hanoi capital.
In order to achieve this goal, five strategic objectives are set. They are:
• Disadvantaged girls and boys from poor and marginalized groups benefit from quality, relevant and inclusive education.
• Stunting in ethnic minority children under 5 years old is reduced through comprehensive and integrated nutrition and child health and development services.
• Children and their communities are more resilient to the impacts of natural disasters and climate change.
• Disadvantaged children and youth, including young migrants in urban settings live in safe and inclusive cities, and access decent work.
• Children are better protected from all forms of violence and harmful practices through inclusive and effective community-based child protection mechanisms linked to established national child protection systems.

Set in its original colonial décor from the 1920’s and just a few steps from Hoan Kiem lake and the Opera House, the Press Club Hanoi has earned a solid reputation for gourmet dining, distinguished banqueting and first-rate meeting facilities over the past years. The building underwent a partial renovation in 2015 to refresh its decor, revive its French haute cuisine and upgrade its technology.
Located on the 3rd floor, La Table du Chef is a subtle journey into fine crafts, paintings, culinary and winemaking arts sourced from Vietnam and France. Lovers of haute cuisine are invited to hunt for traces left by the hand’s gestures embedded into many aspects of the decoration of the restaurant and to discover an exceptional menu, designed by two Michelin starred chef Alain Dutournier, which is carefully paired with the most refined selection of wines.
The adjacent bistro and bar La Plume is inspired by the design of legendary Long Bien Bridge. It is fast becoming a hot spot in the historical part of Hanoi for bistro-style lunch and dinner, all day café and evening drinks. Come to enjoy the authentic food concept prepared by Executive Chef Mr. Son and discover the best cocktails in town perfected by the world champion Master Mixologist Mr. Tiep. In the evening, La Plume offers an exciting venue with DJ owning the room and other live entertainments.
With lofty ceilings and stylish decoration, the inviting 200-square-meter Ballroom can be configured in a variety of setups of stylish receptions, conferences and banquets. The Press Club’s first-class culinary team is regularly called on to cater to outside events, ranging from private dinners to corporate celebrations, while its experienced planners are on hand to ensure each event is a smooth and memorable experience.
