The United Nations International School of Hanoi is a private, non-profit coeducational English-language day school enrolling students from Discovery through Grade 12. The school is located in Tay Ho District, about ten kilometres from the city centre. The school was established in 1988 by agencies representing the United Nations, by way of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training. UNIS is administered by a Head of School and governed by a nine-member Board of Directors, comprising both elected and appointed members.
The UNIS Mission is to encourage students to be independent, lifelong learners who strive for excellence and become responsible stewards of our global society and natural environment, achieved within a supportive community that values diversity and through a programme reflecting the ideals and principles of the United Nations.
Today UNIS offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (Grades 11-12), the IB Middle Years Programme (Grades 6-10), and the IB Primary Years Programme (Pre K-Grade 5). The curriculum does not follow any national system, but draws from a variety of English-language programs consistent with the needs of an international student body.
The school is currently accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organisation, the Council of International Schools, and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
Our student body comprises over 1,000 students from 66 different countries.
Faculty consists of 121 expatriate and Vietnamese teachers from 20 countries, with the Administration and support staff of 148 professionals.

UPS is a global leader in logistics, offering a broad range of solutions including the transportation of express packages and freight; warehousing and distribution; the facilitation of international trade, and the deployment of advanced technology to more efficiently manage the world of business.
Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, UPS delivers 20 million packages and documents each day to about 9 million customers, in more than 220 countries and territories.
Today, UPS employs more than 454,000 people worldwide and operates a fleet of 112,000 vehicles including more than 9,900 alternative fuel-vehicles and 241 aircrafts.
In Asia Pacific, UPS serves 41 countries and territories with air hubs in Shenzhen, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Supporting the network in Asia is a delivery fleet of 1,878 vehicles, 430 operating facilities and more than 3,500 points of access.
In March 2013, UPS became the first global express delivery company to be wholly-owned in Vietnam. The change allows UPS to better connect Vietnam’s rapidly expanding economy to world markets through the UPS network. UPS has invested in new facilities and technology in key commercial and industrial centers across Vietnam. It has extended its express pickup and delivery service to 63 provinces in Vietnam and offered later pick-up and cut-off times. UPS has operations in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
In 2017, UPS Vietnam announced the enhancement of its export services across 19 provinces to support local businesses as they pursue greater cross-border trade. Businesses will benefit from reduced transit times for export and import shipments moving within Asia, and improved shipment times from Europe. In addition, the cut-off times for pick-up have been extended by up to three hours. This service enhancement is part of UPS’s long-term strategy to provide local small-and-medium businesses with greater access to global trade.
UPS offers ground and air transportation, ocean and freight services, international trade management, customs brokerage, consulting and supply chain design, technology solutions, contract logistics, and financial services through UPS Capital.
