BOARD ELECTION 2021 – Cecile Rauline

Cecile Rauline, ExxonMobil Vietnam

Cecile Rauline joined ExxonMobil in Paris 20 years ago and had various assignments mostly in Europe and the United States since then. She started her career in the downstream with a focus on supply and logistics, and several years as an oil product trader. In 2013 she transitioned to the upstream, still in supply & logistics, before moving to business development roles. In 2018 she led the negotiation team for a new country entry for ExxonMobil in Africa before being in charge of all domestic gas business development in South America, Africa and Asia.

She relocated from Houston to Hanoi in April 2019 to assume the role of Vice President and Commercial Manager for ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Vietnam Ltd in charge of all commercial negotiations for the Blue Whale project. She’s been thoroughly enjoying extending her network in Hanoi through all the AmCham events she attended.

Cecile holds an undergraduate degree from Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris, a degree from ESSEC Business School and an MSc in Business from Strathclyde Graduate Business School.

In her free time, Cecile is a keen hiker and traveler and has been extensively discovering Vietnam since her arrival. She is also enjoying singing and had multiple opportunities to perform in Hanoi with her choir.

As of December 1, Cecile will assume the role of Lead Country Manager & President for ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Vietnam Ltd, with responsibility for all activities in-country, with primary focus on upstream assets and their development.
