Greg Wong, Agoda
Greg is Managing Director at Agoda, one of the world’s fastest-growing online travel platforms – with offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and over 4,000 employees worldwide. Experienced Board Member and former Senior American Diplomat, Greg specializes in building sustainable partnerships between government and industry.
Greg was Commercial Officer at American Embassies in Hanoi, Thailand, China, Malaysia, and other global posts. Greg was awarded the Gold Medal – the highest award given by the US Department of Commerce. Greg was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Burundi, and entrepreneur with a successful import and retail business in Honolulu.
Greg is a member of the Vietnam Tourism Advisory Board and currently serves as President of AmCham Thailand. He is also on the board of AmCham South China and is active in other business and community organizations.
He feels that AmCham improves the lives of people in Vietnam. We illuminate new partnership pathways with our members, and constructively shape policies that make a difference. Vietnam’s government will grapple with many pressing issues in economic and tourism recovery post – COVID. This is a precious opportunity for AmCham to engage and serve.
Greg holds an MBA from the University of Hawaii (earned in Hanoi), and an MPA from Harvard.
