AmCham Members Receive 2022 CSR Awards
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a term used to describe a company’s efforts to improve society in some way. Whether it’s by empowering women, implementing environmentally friendly policies in the workplace, or trying to help disadvantaged children, more and more companies are incorporating social responsibility into their overall business strategy. When businesses are conscious of their social and environmental impact on the world, they can benefit society by giving back and helping to find solutions to everyday issues. At the same time, being a socially responsible company can bolster a company’s image and build its brand. Furthermore, being part of a strategy that helps the greater good can boost employee morale and lead to greater productivity in the workforce. Creating a good CSR program costs time and resources. However, it is well worth it!
Now in its eighth year, AmCham’s CSR Recognition Award Program is designed to raise awareness of CSR among AmCham members and the community, and to provide recognition to firms with best practice CSR programs in Vietnam.
AmCham honored its members’ best CSR programs at a ceremony on December 7. Twenty-eight member firms received the 2022 CSR Recognition Award for understanding the linkages between business operations and society, and conducting business in a way that creates both long-term economic and social value.
