Ha Nguyen, Apple Vietnam
Ha Nguyen is Head of Government Affairs for Apple in Vietnam and Thailand. Based in Hanoi, Ha is supporting Apple’s government affairs activities, engaging government agencies to advance diverse policy issues from digital economy, supply chain resilience to renewable energy accessibility.
Ha has extensive experience working in the world’s leading companies and government agencies. Before Apple, Ha was Country Head of Public Policy for Amazon Web Services (AWS) where she was leading its engagement with government agencies in Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar, advancing strategic programs related to cloud computing adoption and the digital economy. Ha spent more than a decade with Citi Vietnam in roles of Director of Government Affairs and Securities Country Manager, driving financial services regulatory development to grow and protect business operations for the foreign investment community. Before joining the private sector, Ha worked for the Ministry of Trade coordinating the implementation of Vietnam’s market access commitments with EU and North America in banking, sea transportation, pharmacy and telecom sectors. She worked for the State Securities Commission, participating in setting up the regulatory framework for the country’s capital market, trading, settlement and listing rules for local exchanges and corporate governance practices for listed companies.
Ha has been instrumental in AmCham’s advocacy efforts to address challenging digital economy policy issues. She took part in initiatives supporting Vietnamese enterprises and startups, educational institutions, government ministries and local ICT community to adopt new technologies. Ha is passionate to advocate for US high quality tech investments into Vietnam, for Vietnamese companies to go global and Vietnam’s long-term sustainable economic growth.
Ha serves on the board of AmCham Hanoi since 2020 and co-chairs the Digital Economy Working Group under the Vietnam Business Forum since its inception in December 2021. She was the Vice Chair of EuroCham’s Digital Sector Committee in 2021-2022. Ha holds a BA in Economics from Hanoi Foreign Trade University and a Master of Public Policy from National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Tokyo.
