Ha Thu Thanh is the Chairperson and one of the founders of Deloitte Vietnam – a member firm of Deloitte Global, the largest consulting & auditing firm in the world. She was one of the first five Vietnamese to study auditing in the United States, became a Certified Public Account (CPA). With over 38 years of experience in Audit and Advisory, including more than 23 years of leadership position of the company, Mrs. Thanh is highly appreciated for her great contribution and pioneering in the development of the profession of accounting and auditing.
Additionally, she takes key responsibilities in nationwide organizations like:
- Head of Supervision Board of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Chairperson of the Vietnam Institute of Directors (VIOD)
- Chairperson of the Vietnam Business Coalition for Women Empowerment (VBCWE)
- Vice president of the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD)
- Vice Chair of the Vietnam Tax Consultant’s Association (VTCA)
- Vice president of the Vietnam Association for Women Entrepreneurs (VAWE)
Through dedicated activities in organizations and associations, Mrs. Thanh lands the lead role in actions for developing business community as well as contributing to the socio-economic development of the country, promoting economic, trade, science, and technology cooperation with countries in the region.
Mrs. Thanh is also well-known as an energetic speaker at many prestigious forums and training courses regarding corporate governance, leadership, sustainable growth, private companies, startups etc. Besides, she is an enthusiasm leader in social responsibility programs which make great impacts that matter to Vietnamese society as well as future generations.
Mrs. Thanh was one of the first Vietnamese people to earn an MBA degree from the University of Hawaii (USA) and was among several outstanding alumni who was presented “Hall of Honor Award” by the university. She was ranked one of the “50 most influential Women in Vietnam” by Forbes in 2017 & 2019 and awarded the “Asia Pacific Entrepreneur Award” by Enterprise Asia in 2017.
She also holds significant industry qualifications, including a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting and Certified Public Accountant in Vietnam and Australia. Mrs. Thanh is also a Licensing Lawyer and certified in Legal Practice, focus on Corporate Governance.
She is a longtime member and a great supporter of AmCham Hanoi. She currently serves as Vice Chair of AmCham’s Board of Governors and looks forward to continuing her service if reelected.
