A look at the 2024 u.s. elections

The U.S. elections take place in early November featuring election of the president and vice president. In addition, all 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives and 34 of the 100 seats in the United States Senate will be contested to determine the membership of the 119th United States Congress. Thirteen state and territorial governorships and numerous other state and local elections will also be contested. AmCham members are invited to participate in a virtual briefing by political analyst Kyle Kondik about the upcoming elections and the state of politics in the U.S. this year.

Kyle Kondik analyzes American campaigns and elections and serves as managing editor of Sabato’s Crystal Ball, a nonpartisan newsletter on American politics and elections produced by the University of Virginia Center for Politics. He is the author of The Long Red Thread, a history of the growth of Republican power in the U.S. House of Representatives, as well as The Bellwether, an analysis of Ohio’s presidential voting history. Kyle is a frequently cited expert on American politics who has appeared on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, PBS NewsHour, and Comedy Central’s The Daily Show. He is also a member of the CBS News Election Decision Desk team.
