Ekkasit Lakkananithiphan, Dow Vietnam
My name is Ekkasit Lakkananithiphan, anyway friends and colleagues call me Joe. I moved to Vietnam last February and enjoy life in Vietnam so much. I serve as General Director for Dow Vietnam LLC, a material science and solution provider. The company is focusing to deliver solutions in three areas: flexible packaging, infrastructure, and consumer solutions. At Dow Vietnam, we are putting focus on two missions: being a crucial partner to fuel growth of Vietnam’s economy, and taking a leading role to promote Vietnam’s Circular Economy. Recently, Dow completed the first 200 meters of a plastic road project in Haiphong and we aim to convert around 6.5 metric tons of plastic waste into a 1.4 kilometer road for this first project.
I have worked at Dow for almost 17 years covering many areas such as Sales and Marketing, Green field project management, Business Administration and Asset Optimization. I previously worked for an affiliate of ExxonMobil in Thailand for five years and gained experience in Terminal Operations, Supply Management and Refinery optimization.
I earned Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Master’s degree in Business Administration.
I’m confident that I can leverage my experience and work with all AmCham members to both further fuel growth of American businesses in Vietnam, and as a caring member of the Vietnamese community, promote the concept of circular economy. I look forward to meeting you in person very soon.
