Nguyet “Moon” Nguyen, Facebook
Moon Nguyet has been working on Public Policy and Government Affairs for her entire career for almost 15 years now, with different region-and-country focused roles starting with the Vietnamese Government, then the UK and Australian Governments’ missions in Hanoi, before moving to the private sector to work for Uber and now Facebook.
She currently serves as Country Head of Public Policy for Vietnam at Facebook. In addition, she serves as Vice Chair of AmCham’s IT, Telecom and IPR Committee, and also as Chair of AmCham’s Danang Business Committee.
Moon is the mind behind the Aus4Vietnam brand of the Australian Government’s development program in Vietnam, the first and strongest advocate for the sharing economy recognition in Vietnam while she was with Uber, and currently a tireless advocate for “good laws for good tech” within the U.S. business community in Vietnam.
She was trained in the Oxford Women’s Leadership Development program in 2019 and Executive Leadership program provided by Uber and Harvard Business School in 2017-2018.
Moon earned a Master’s Degree in Southeast Asian Studies in Thailand as a result of a full ASEAN scholarship in 2010. Moon was born and raised in Vietnam.
