Member Briefing on AmCham Meeting with Prime Minister Chinh

A group of AmCham leaders and members met with Prime Minister Chinh and other senior officials during the holiday weekend to discuss business challenges during the current outbreak. For more than three hours, members briefed the government on burdens companies are facing including production and transportation hurdles, administrative procedure problems, tax and expenses, vaccine availability and access issues, as well as visas, work permits and entry procedures for foreigners. The Prime Minister acknowledged the issues that AmCham members are facing and ensured that Vietnam is rolling out many corrective measures including a resolution to aid businesses during the pandemic that will be issued later this week.

What specific issues were discussed and what did the Prime Minister and other officials promise to do? Join AmCham for a special virtual member briefing on Friday morning from AmCham Chair Virginia Foote (Bay Global Strategies) and AmCham Governor Nguyen Viet Ha (BowerGroup Asia).
