Covid-19 Briefing: HR/Administrative Issues during Work-from-Home Period – April 28

The transition to a work-from-home environment has many challenges – from productivity to IT issues. Another challenge businesses face is how to address and overcome the many administrative tasks that are required to conduct business in Vietnam. For example, how are documents stamped if the office is closed? How are banking and tax filing and remittance being handled? Are original signatures on paper really necessary – and is paper really necessary? Are companies giving special allowances to employees that are working remotely, such as paying for internet/phone, or even helping with electricity costs? What is the optimal way to handle relationships between employers and employees and how to comply with prevailing regulations?

In addition, what is Decree No. 45/2020/ND-CP on Electronic Administrative Procedures that starts on May 22 and how will this change the way businesses comply with procedures?
