The coronavirus pandemic has upended lives across the planet, restricting movement, shutting schools and forcing millions to work from home. The number of cases in Vietnam continues to grow, but it still much lower than most places around the world.
The increase in cases continues to put pressure on the medical system and quarantine facilities here. Unfortunately, the government expects to see a surge in the number of new infections over the coming period, including sustained community transmission. Authorities ask people to self-isolate at home for the next two weeks to help contain the current outbreak. New restrictions on activity started this past weekend. We support the government’s efforts to contain the spread of the virus and to mitigate the negative effects of the crisis. This is a challenging time this for everybody.
