Provincial Competitiveness Index

Now in its 18th year, AmCham has supported Vietnam’s Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), which conducts an annual business survey, assessment and ranking of the ease of doing business, quality of economic governance, and the results of administrative reform efforts by local governments to promote private sector development. Based on a rigorous survey of the perceptions of domestic and foreign firms, the PCI report amplifies the collective voice of private entrepreneurs in Vietnam regarding economic governance in provinces where they invest and in the country as a whole.

Last year, Quang Ninh Province had the highest ranking for the fifth year in a row. Who will be on top this year? Find out at this year’s PCI launch on April 11.

This year, VCCI will also launch the Provincial Green Index (PGI) regarding company perspectives on provincial environmental governance. The PGI aims to promote efforts to build a green business environment across Vietnam, contributing to the country’s sustainable development.
