Power Development Plan VIII
- VIRTUAL MEETING

- tuesday, may 30
- 2:00PM - 3:00PM
Vietnam’s long-awaited eighth national power development plan (PDP8) was recently approved by the Prime Minister and is heading to the National Assembly for final approval. PDP8 sets out the country’s electricity roadmap for the period through to 2030, with a vision towards 2045 and represents Vietnam’s clearest commitment towards decarbonisation since it announced its net zero ambitions at the COP26 Summit in October 2021. While there is much work to be done on implementing policies and regulations, the approval of PDP8 is promising news for an investor market hungry for opportunities across the energy transition sector.
Join our virtual meeting on May 30 to hear from a panel of experts about Vietnam’s Power Development Plan 8 and plans for implementing policies.
GUEST SPEAKERS:
Ms. Nguyen Phuong Mai, Vietnam Country Director, The Asia Group
Mr. John Rockhold, Chair, AmCham Energy Committee
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Partner, Baker McKenzie Vietnam
